The main task of this dissertation is to probe the problem of language in the cultural conflicts and communications. It focuses on the "Europeanization" of Chinese language in its modern change.
In the first part, it looks back the historical change of Chinese language, describes the four important periods of the language variation, investigating its backgrounds, motivations and effects.
It analyses various theories which drove the movements of chinese language in the second part.
In the last part, it discusses the problem about the ideas of langage, and the cultural value of language especially in the transformation of society.
